It's the 21st century, the electronic age, why are we putting crosses or ticks on pieces of paper
The worlds transfer of money and information is carried out 24 hours a day and test we still can't vote electronically
I know people will bring out the hacker arguement, well I'm sure we're sufficiently advanced to overcome that by now
For those who haven't got access to the Internet, well terminals in polling stations would deal with that

Personally I think putting an X on a piece of paper needs to be mastered first before progressing to other options. The council elections where I used to live always had a high number of postal/proxy votes with parties going to old peoples homes to 'help' fill in the forms. If some couldn't be bothered to nip to a local voting station then they have no one else to blame.
