Just like an aussie rugby player sore loser.
Listen we got what the people wanted a referendum about the eu,the vote went the right way and you got to accept it.
Out of curiosity who did vote on this site because if you didn't bother to vote you ain't even allowed to have an opinion on the subject.all hot air and no substance.
As lord rose said nothing will change and before you jump with your answer of yes it will you can't prove a thing to back up your pie in the sky assumptions.china etc etc aren't in the eu and they are doing just fine,we are a country who will never need bail out so we are giving dead money to europe.
Sorry you think i sound like a member of old but when your opinion is right you always have the haters and doubters.
THANKYOU AND GOOD LUCK.

Do you even live in Spain? Are you reliant on health care? are you a pensioner?
Yes I DID vote and it wasn't as reaction to any of the biased press coveragte, but exploring the facts myself.
HOWEVER, there are still over a million ex-pats (immigrants) from UK in the EU that were not allowed to vote due to having been out of UK for 15+ years.
And they also have to now cope with the decrease in income & probable health charges.
Who said 'No taxation without representation.?
So NO I don't think I'm a sore loser, I'm angry because so many will be affected who couldn't vote by the few who could.
Level the playing field and cut out all the lies on the campaigns & then see waht the vote is.
But a near 50/50 split of the country is not a difinitve referendum.

Well said Martin I can't believe how many people voted out who now say that they didn't expect to win and they only voted out to shake up the Tory's.

I did not come on this topic to be insulted thank you, merely to give what I considered helpful contacts.
Of course I share the anger of all x-pats that have benn let down by their government who had promised to extend the vote to all ex-pats, regardless of how long they have been out of the country.
This had been scheduled for parliamentary discussion in 2016, with thr referendum to be held in 2017, but the referendum was rushed through with undue haste.
Incidentally the 1975 referendum was far better organised with a simpler question and the vote was 2 to 1 in favour of staying.
And of course, everyone was told that the referendum wouldn't be legally binding as it would be up to the politicans to make the vote.
The same applies today, but it looks like our politicians do not know how to lead with D C doing a quick runner himself!

Hi bonnie
No use worrying about it as, as already stated it'll take 2yrs to pull out of the EC.
Pull the plug and come live your dream. The EC is still in rescesion and Spain in particular and the Spanish need the ex pat whether a EC member or not.
Best of luck
Brian

Are now thats a large problem we have not got any MPs now, they have been fired or have quitted so anyone want a job as an MP? You dont have to be smart, and you dont need to have had a education just be a complete liar!!
uote="Jillandsteve"]The referendum does not legally change anything. There has to be a vote in parliament to ratify it then a formal application has to be made to the eu, then exit talks, lasting two years at least, can begin
Financial markets will settle as the exit talks continue. Most of the panic on currency and stock markets is created by financial barrow boys taking advantage of the situation, they'll make a profit regardlesd[/quote]

I am amused and amazed by the reaction on this web page .
The vast majority of you decided to leave England, for whatever reasons, and as far as I am concerned have no right to get upset when those who remained want to change the future of the country they live in. I am sure if you really want you could become Spanish citizens and remain “Europeans”.
Life is full of choices, you pay’s your money and takes your chances…
