I think you will just be able to move, nothing has changed at the moment and nothing will until the negotiations are concluded. to be honest in my view I don't expect to much to change after negotiations are concluded, only my opinion though

Little,if anything, will change. The prime minister still has to inform the EU dignitaries of Britain's will to leave,it has to be done officially, after that it will take two years to happen/start,after that about 5 years to see ANY change.

The referendum does not legally change anything. There has to be a vote in parliament to ratify it then a formal application has to be made to the eu, then exit talks, lasting two years at least, can begin
Financial markets will settle as the exit talks continue. Most of the panic on currency and stock markets is created by financial barrow boys taking advantage of the situation, they'll make a profit regardlesd

It is a concern and if I was buying now, or thinking of moving abroad, I would be concerned too. If conditions turn bad for expats.. and their income has already fallen by 20 percent today... if it gets worse, say no pension increase, no health service .. I can perhaps see people selling up and moving back to the UK... that would mean a glut of houses for sale in Spain and consequently a low price if we sell, if we CAN sell..

So I can understand your concern, but as has been said, nothing will change for the time being, except people will be tying to guess the future..and that can have a big effect on things....

Only the individual can decide..

Todays EU decision

Postby Bonnieb » Fri Jun 24, 2016 10:10 am

Hi all,

My husband and I are due to move out to Rojales in the next 2 weeks with our 28year old daughter and 6 year old granddaughter. She has already been allocated a place at Rojales school. Following todays referendum decision, does anybody know if his will effect her school place? I have read a lot on social media that we may not now be entitled to live in Spain or work there. Does anybody know how much truth is in this please?

Many thanks

Bonie

Hi Bonie, a brief answer to your question is that you won't have a problem,.at least not for the next 2 years.Free movement of existing EU citizens between the 28 countries will remain for the time being.

Sadly nobody knows, and if they purport to know then I`m afraid they are being economical with the truth.:(

Nobody knows anything for certain except there are bound to be changes. Maybe Health cover will be a big issue, travel to UK may become more difficult. Becoming resident may be more difficult. I saw my bank manager yesterday who had a grant to study in the UK and maybe that facility will come to an end, she felt that is a backward step.
