List of National (Red Days) and Regional Holidays Spain 2018

Here is a list of the Spanish *National holidays (Red Days) and Local Regional Holidays for 2018.


*If anyone knows any dates that we have missed or any mistakes on this list, please feel free to reply to this topic and let us know. All help will be appreciated. This list is not necessarily definitive.

Please Note: Some supermarket and shops may be closed on National Holidays/Red Days and occasionally some supermarkets & shops may also close on local regional holidays for local festivities. Please check these dates with your local area to confirm.



The holidays in the region of Valencia will be:-

Monday January 1, new year

Saturday January 6th – Not an actual public holiday but has been declared as a holiday in all regions

Monday March 19, day of San Jose

30 March, good Friday

2 April, Easter Monday

Tuesday, may 1

Sunday May 6th Mothers Day

Wednesday 15 August, day of the assumption of our Lady

Tuesday 9 October, day of the Valencian Community

Friday October 12, Columbus Day

Thursday 1 November, all Saints Day

Thursday 6 December, Constitution Day

Saturday December 8, day of the Inmaculada Concepción

Tuesday December 25, Nativity of the Lord.

*There will be no doubt some other local holidays as well as those listed. Shopping centres (Habaneras, Carrefour, Zenia Boulevard) only close on 1st and 6th January, 1st May and 25th December (Thanks marcliff & Martin the Artist for helping with all the above info.)

Monday January 1, new year

I think Jan 6th is the obvious one missing (3 Kings or Epiphany)

It's good to get the dates like this to update our list on the home page. A few years back I used to spend ages searching the Internet to find the correct dates.
