Please answer questions on your 'For Sale' topics!

When you place an item for sale, please make a point of answering any questions on those topics. There are many questions that go unanswered and it's only polite to go back into your topic to answer these questions, even if it's just to say that your item is sold!

When you post an item for sale or wanted there will be a banner underneath your topic saying ' "Click here to receive an email when someone replies to your post above" and it's a good idea to click on it then any replies/questions will be sent to you by email and you can click the link to answer them on your topic.

It's nice to get your item sold but please remember that there may be others waiting for answers!

Also please don't forget to write Sold on your topic in the title when it has Sold!

Yes this is so frustating when you are wanting information or even to buy somtning, I don't think people realize that without the help of the forum a lot of things would go unsold.

One thing I would wish to comment on. If there is an item for sale would it be better if persons could put a picture of the article. I do not know how one could sell something if others cannot see it. It can be very frustrating.

Yes I agree - However the majority of sellers do put photos on fortunately. It's just a few that don't and often we just have to show them a link from our Help topics on how to do it. Here's the link for those who may need it:

When putting a title on your topics, please remember that people often search for things 'for sale' or 'wanted' and those words should be in the title.

It could take longer to sell or for people to find your item if the title is not descriptive.

We have often changed titles to include "for sale' etc. and I am surprised just how many titles we are changing.

Also on property forums some people just put 'house in Doña Pepa' or similar -Please remember to write what the post is about..For rental...For sale...Wanted etc, as it's easier for people to click into topics that are relevant to what they are looking for.

Reminder- Please do your best to answer every question on your topic for sale . It's just polite and only takes a few seconds! It isn't nice to feel ignored and this is a "free" selling forum.
