Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank
by Curious » Wed May 02, 2018 4:15 pm
I have just received a letter to say that Deutsche Bank will be closing in Quesada and the branch is merging with the Las Lomas Branch in Torrevieja. Have any customers used that branch yet? I was wondering if it was easy to find and access as I really did not want to go down the route of banking in Torrevieja again. Quesada is so convenient and I'm not keen on changing banks again either.

I have also received a letter from Deutsche Bank about the closing of the branch in Quesada. I will not be driving to Torrevieja to do banking, so will have to find another bank in Quesada. We have previously had a bad experience with Santander in Quesada, so will have to look at the others. Can anyone recommend a local bank that has low maintenance charges?

I have received the same letter to my UK address. That’s a shame the Quesada branch was always so convenient. I don’t fancy having to go to Torrevieja so I will look at changing bank. I have never changed banks in Spain so not sure what the process is. Any advice please.
Does anyone know if you can use the cash machines of other banks in Quesada with a Deutsche Bank card. Thanks for any help.

I have just changed banks to La Caixa and I must say they made it very easy. They requested a transfer of funds from my previous bank (at no cost surprisingly) and also changed over all of my direct debits. Totally smoothly handled and I’m very happy. Highly recommended..

Having personal experience of Bankia, following their takeover of BMN, I would suggest that you avoid them. After over a month I still cannot use on-line banking for transactions despite trips to the branch and numerous codes. We have another account at Sabadell and I will be moving everything to them. They do it all for you.

Thank you for the replies so far. I am pleased that psychic angel and ajf1950 were also not happy to travel to Torrevieja. My concern is twofold. If doubling up the customers from Quesada and Torre the queuing could be ridiculous. Also If I’m turned away for any reason, it’s a nuisance in Quesada but if you’ve travelled all that distance to Torrevieja it would be really annoying. Thank you Elliemayc for the information that’s most helpful. A question to newchocs about La Caixa, do they have online banking and is it easy to use (we live in the U.K. so want something easy), what are the bank charges like? And if you go to the bank how bad is the queuing. if anyone moves from Deutsche bank I’d love to know which bank and if they recommend their choice. Thank you.

This Deutsche Bank is my local branch and it isn't actually in Torrevieja, in fact it's closer to La Mata!! If you turn off the N332 at the next island after La Mata turn off( Thai restaurant) -Ronda Jose Samper Garcia , that road eventually forks off to the right so stay on the left on the main coast road, it's along there on the left

We also are thinking of changing banks ..we were with caja Murcia when in Quesada..that was very good .they were then taken over by b m n .it was all down hill from then!! They have now been taken over by Bankia! !! Yes we now have a branch in Quesada!!! But only ever one person working at a time!! It is so small, always a queue! !! So have to always leave an hour for any type of transaction! Also charge for everything, we now have to go back again ( another hour) as there are things they have charged for we have no idea what they are ?? Nightmare, soon will say adios Bankia.

Well we have tried the following banks ,
CAM - went bankrupt and directors on corruption charges
LLOYDS - closed the branch
SABADELL - I couldn’t get on with the queues and the waiting times.
DEUTSCHE - Good up until mid 2017 when they changed all the staff.
SANTANDER - Not enough staff, long waiting time, still with them.
I don’t know where to try next, all I want is someone to pay my Direct Debits on time, small charges, efficient service and easy parking and important information in English.
