Do all Spanish banks Charge for Money going In to account ?

Postby Eltel01 » Wed Aug 10, 2016 9:51 am

Hi All,

Being very new to Spanish bank account practices in Spain, I must admit to being a little Amazed that we get charged fees for putting money into our account ???

I have had many bank accounts not only in UK but also as a contractor in Holland and Belgium and have never before seen anything like this.

Any advice please ?

thanks.

I recommend Sabadell especially if you are resident. No charges

No charges only if you have an Expansion account and have 700€ paid in every month

Banks should not charge for accepting payments (as said above Sabadell don't charge for this at all and we only have a normal current account!) but a charge will most prob be made by UK bank who transfer funds - Most UK banks charge a transfer fee to foreign accounts.

Bankia do not charge to put money in. Their maintenance charges ( and service in Quesada branch ) is better than Sabadell Quesada branch.
Happy in the sun.

I find Sabedell online system is excellent. Freddo quite rights says you need to pay in a minimum of 700 euros a month but UK pension covers that, at the moment.

Hi you can put money into the Sabedell Key Account and do not have to have anything going in monthly and there is no limit unles it is from a non EEU country then the limit is 50,000 euros

Caixabank charge for anything over 25,000 euros

We got charged by Bankinter because apparently the money from the UK went in too fast.

Bankinter did not charge us for lodging less than e20k at a time. Problem was that they wanted to charge us a .5& commission when we wanted to withdraw the money to complete the purchase, unless we took out their house insurance.

This annoyed me so much that I closed off my account with them as soon as possible, and when the insurance ran out, I reinsured with another company
