Transfer wise

Transfer wise

We used transfer wise today to transfer funds from U.K. to our bank account at Caixa. The service was unbeatable, excellent rate and the money arrived in our account within hours. Highly recommended! Thanks to talk quesada for previous recommendations.

It’s brilliant I use it all the time. Depending on what time of the day you make the transfer, find morning the best, the money can be in your account in minutes. Had one almost instantaneous transfer. With such a reliable service, at a cost of about two quid for small amounts, no need to plan ahead, you can just drip feed funds to service your bills as and when. Gone are the days when I had to go to my bank, wait in a queue, fill out a form, pay a minimum of ten pounds for the privilege, and days later it would be in my account with CAM taking a fee too. Yes thank you to whomever recommended TransferWise on this forum.

I believe it was ‘benjy’ that first told us about TransferWise and I totally agree, brilliant service. I use it regularly, 1.1575 this morning. . :text-thankyouyellow:

That rate of 1.1575 is not what you'll receive into your account.

The rate's currently 1.1589. If you transfer £1,000, with Transferwise, you'll get 1,151.62 euros, after their fees have been knocked off, so a rate of 1.1516 euros to the pound is what you're effectively getting. I'm not aware of anywhere where you can get a better rate than that, unless you're transferring a very large amount.

Have a look at the rates on World First I've found these to be the best.

Have to say never had a problem but if you transfer on a Friday later they admit it could take till Monday but the service seems to have got better and quicker since we have been using then cant fault it for small or large amounts.
