Paul will disagree but there are many, like myself who are happy with the android box because it does what it says on the box

You know me too well :D

It doesn't say anything on the box :?

I have to answer support queries on all equipment. Kodi has caused me more grief & time than any other TV related system or service. More emails, calls, Facebook support than any other equipment. On this basis, I have to state that they are not the easiest or most stable to use equipment. At some point in time, applications will stop working, updates needed etc - which is fine for someone technically minded and patient, but also rules out a lot of people.

For me a lot of content I watch is not on BBC (now top gear gone), so feel it far more useful to have catch up on multiple channels - rather than BBC - how about 50 or 60 channels of catch up? To be honest, I think BBC iplayer is overrated - as this and other catch up type content, can easily be obtained without iplayer or need for a VPN overseas. A lot more content than just BBC.

2 weeks ago a lot of people had issues with terrestrial TV on Kodi, Filmon needed updating, some older versions of Kodi not compatible, some required a complete rebuild of box / kodi & all apps. Customers asked for us to update their boxes as some struggle etc. This is something that on an 'average consumer level', people should not need to deal with.

Sports I do have issues with as find too much instability compared to other services - want to relax when watching TV, not worry - 'will it or won't it work'.

At the end of it all, people can always try Kodi on a phone or tablet / PC and get a feel for it - with all things will suit some more than others and will depend on your viewing habits.

We are aware of the ageing population around us and the importance of things working easily, so it is important for us to offer stable and simple solutions - as well as offering different options for those with different requirements (or technical abilities).
