Android box problem

Can anyone help I've got a kodi box which is connected to the wifi but is not connecting to the Internet could it be my router that is blocking it

Try connecting it with an ethernet cable.

To use wifi the box must pick up your network + you will need to enter your security password to complete connection - should be in settings - network.

Because most of these boxes do not have an external antenea, your router maybe to far away?? as marcliff sauid you will get better servcie when connected directly with cable, hope this helps.

Wifi is connected using key and password and showing full signal and about 7 meters from router but kodi box won't connect to internet,box was working ok when I was with dvblab but I've changed to telecable now

As others have stated - all you should need to do, is go into the network settings on the Kodi box, scan for networks, then put new password in.

Try turning off your Android box then your router. Wait a few seconds then restart your router then wait a few minutes before restarting your Android box.

THe best way is go to settings on the android box goto wifi and click wifi off wait a few second then turn it back on again then find you wifi name and click forget me then search again and put the password in again it should work if not then the password or wep key is wrong.

WEP keys are the equivalent of the Wi-Fi password in an older form of Wi-Fi security encryption.
If you have the correct SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password then thy are the only credentials needed to connect.

I assume that other devices such as laptops, tablets etc. can connect to your Wi-Fi and access the Internet?

Is your new router Dual Band (2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz). If so, do the two two bands have different names such as xxx2.4g and xxx5g ?
