It did for us but things may have changed since then. You could try leaving a small amount of credit on the phone to see if it still works on your return and then you will know.

If you are on contract there's no disconnect problem

Also, a dual sim Android phone, will allow you to receive calls on both your U.K. and Spanish numbers, will allow you to select which SIM uses data and gives you the option of choosing which SIM to make individual calls on. I use the OnePlus 3 whose charge lasts just over two days

Thanks Donaduo, I am planning on contract. I'll keep the dual sim option open when I next upgrade my phone. :text-thankyouyellow:

The thing with contract is that you pay monthly for the service when in the UK and not using it (unless I'm mistaken). Contract is OK for those in Spain permanently but for those who spend only 6 months in Spain it's paying for something you are not using.

The only months we arent planning on coming over is between mid June to mid September as it will be too hot for us then, but we are hoping to rent it out during that period so we will need continuous internet.

Hi Foxystoat,
Until I brought my mum over here last year I was ringing her everyday to her land line from my laptop or Smartphone for FREE. Yes! No monthly subscription. All completely legal & official. I don't charge either. It is something I like to pass on. I live over Rojales way if you wished to see how it works, very simple as well. Thomas

We have Ole internet installed with the free UK landline calls bundled in. They are based in Villamartin but have a relay transmitter located in Quesada arches. The transmission is from the this transmitter to a small dish installed on the roof of our property. It works a treat.
