We managed to get one working with a Spanish Vodafone sim in, but it was very very slow though, had to hang the device out of the window to get any kind of signal.
I think my father in law visits a shop above Super Value at the golf course complex for things like this.

Yes, I used A Huawei MiFi until I got proper wifi sorted, Got a masmovil data sim from the Computer Shop in Quesada . Worked fine but it was pretty expensive as it seemed to go through data at a rate of knots ( although I was only using for internet search ing and email, not streaming or anything like that ) . The signal strength was fine. I had previously used a vodafone sim which I got from vodafine shop in rojales ( I lost it and the mifi so had to get another) and I don't remember that being as expensive. You could ask at the Computer shop ( centre of Quesada, near Johnsons supermarket)

We use a Mifi when we visit our home in Montebello. Never had any issues with it. We use a UK SIM card on a Pay as You Go basis, topping it up when we visit Spain. Top up only last for 30 days though.

Will simply depend on your signal and how is received in your house from specific provider.

No one can advise you accurately without testing. Even your next door neighbour with a different property - could make a difference.

We have one of our technicians who has a 4G router (Orange) can get on 2Mbs everywhere in the house, apart from one window sill in the bedroom, where he get 15Mbps - lap of the gods!!! I suspect the internet providers mast is in the direction that the window is facing.

You can also buy external masts and antennas - just depends on what is needed and costs.

I got one just to use in Quesada and it was brilliant. Sometimes you have to move it about but once I get a connection I don't move for dear life:)

I went for the MiFi from Three Mobile as there's not extra charge to use it in Spain. I do pay monthly for it but only because it comes in handy when I'm out and about in the UK. I'm a bit thick and I thought it could only be used in doors, but it can be used in the car etc.

The Three 'Feel At Home' is an awesome service. Maximum of 12GB usage abroad if even if you're on unlimited data I think, but that's still a fair amount of mobile data.

Alas, where we are when we come over the signal is terrible, be no point tethering anything to a MiFi device :(

Using mine now as I sit on top of my solarium over looking the golf course.

I have a Netgear mifi bought from Media Markt in La Zenia, I use a Lebara data sim card bought from the computer shop in Dona pepa and just recently bought an extra mifi aerial to boost signal from eBay. Pay as you go SIM card, last 30 days and you need to top up every 3 months or they will disconnect the number.
