It's not usually difficult to pull another cable through the conduit. I bought some 'shotgun' cable and screw-on F-connectors from Screwfix and use the old cable as a way of pulling the new twin cable through. I smeared plenty of Vaseline on the new cable to make it easier to pull through and it was a doddle.
It turns-out that the old cable had two joints in it, one done properly with F-connectors and the other done very badly. Signal strength was much better afterwards and I can watch one channel while recording another.
