Looking for Data SIM for a month or two to put in Dongle

Postby wumba » Wed Jun 14, 2017 12:48 pm

Hello,

We have sold our apartment just outside Benijofar but will need to stay on in Spain for a month or two due to other commitments.

We have one of those Huawei 3G MiFi dongles to use with our laptop. It's unlocked so should be OK with any network. We will be mainly in the Quesada area so not sure what the best network would be.

Looking for suggestions as what SIM to buy to give us a bit of data use. It would be light use, mainly checking the bank account and sending emails to family members. We can do without streaming or anything that would use a lot of data.

Can anyone suggest a SIM to buy and where to get it please? Due to the short time it will be used it would have to be a PAYG or pre-loaded monthly data type of thing.

Many thanks.

Do you have a uk phone? All European data roaming charges ended officially this week, so if you have uk data check with your provider and you may be able to hotspot from your mobile phone, I get full 4G in Quesada on Vodafone and can use really well, other half only gets 3G on O2 and not so good.

Thanks Lisa.

I do have a UK phone but they don't allow use of a dongle on my tariff. I'm sure I had seen on here that someone had recommended the kind of SIM I'm after. I had a search yesterday but couldn't see it. I've a bit more time today so will look harder.

Cheers,

W.
