Hi,

TV

Would suggest for the TV, use a satellite system. This is a one off cost to pick up the UK free to air / freesat / terrestrial channels. No further subscriptions & no need to turn on and off. Also (for FTA TV) no reliance or requirement of internet. Sky available if required.

Internet

Could be a little trickier - as depends on the format of your 10 weeks stay. For example there are companies that install 'on-off' internet (we do a package on behalf of Telitec). In the instance of Telitec, they have a minimum usage requirement of 6/12 months - so one way or another would need to pay for half the year. Most companies that offer the 'stop-start' will have minimum use requirements or some other 'catch' such as when not using, you still get charged a few euros a month.

Another option may be using a Mi Fi type 4G router and top up type sim. If only using internet for web browsing / email - so not for streaming TV (best avoided with 4G - due to capped data). Option may be just to have a 4G router to hand and just top up a local 4G sim, when you turn up in Spain. This avoids tying you into a contract.

Hiya

I use Nortons at La Zenia, have done for the last 4 years since getting my place in Quesada, there is no minimum time limit, I come out from June till October contact them from UK with my dates and my internet is on when I get here, it costs 18 euros a month and like Paul above says there is a small charge when not in use but that's only 9 euros.I also got TV from same company, paid a one off think it was 295 euros have never had any problems, hope this helps you.

We use telecable Santa pola. No big dish we get 42 channels and a good broadband service. Costs 32 euro per month when you are here and 8 euro when you are not. They have an office in San Luis. We've had them for about 2 years now and no issues. George
