Just a little update. Engineer arrived as arranged to fit the Internet. However couldn't go ahead as there is no direct signal with the company's masts, so no signal . So have had to abandon internet pay as you go with TVHoradada. Looking for another provider with pay as you go Internet. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers Audbro

Try Skynetlink in Rojales, switch on switch off service, works well at the top of the golf course where we are, customer service is excellent.

We install a 'stop-start' service through Telitec - as above, if clear line of sight available.

As a newbie to Toretta Florida - can you please advise how many English speaking channels can you get if I was to have an installation done by TV Horadada? also are they the closest to where my pad is - or is there a cheaper option which is based nearer?

Hi potjoe, not sure that your suggestion of mifi and pay as you go sim would work as we have a very poor mobile signal at the house and no 3G.

Still looking for a switch on switch off Internet only supplier with a daily or weekly rate but one who doesn't specify having connection for at least 6 months in the year. We are looking to pay for connection of about 8 weeks each year and this being a week at a time.
Have emailed skynetlink and another but no reply as yet. Keeping fingers crossed.

Ive used TvHoradada .Very good . I normally got 5mb enough for most things bar video or TV. They use Wimax I believe ,so it is only a small dish. Go thing is you can set you dates on the internet wit ha calendar you want it using there website and just pay for the time you want it.Only cost 100 to have it fitted by them.

Russ - did you miss the post above was from over 18 months ago? Easily done :D

Problem with internet recommendations is reception does vary between locations with this type of service as does speed, depending on proximity to antenna. For example you may get 5Mbps, someone nearer antenna more, someone further, can be considerably less.

Most useful advice, is ask all of your nearby neighbours as they'll know best. We install for Telitec & some areas give better signal / speed - its same with all of these type of companies.
