Hi folks
Looking for some advice. Does anyone use the Internet pay as you go service with TVHoradada and live golf side Quesada.

Thinking of installing but not sure of connection quality or this company. Thanks in advance for any advice given.
Cheers

Hi Audbro
We had the PAYG from TVHoradada installed in June this year and so far it's been pretty good.

Small parabola on our roof terrace and then the engineer ran the cable through the existing conduit inside the house, all left neat and tidy. They supplied the router and the installation was 100euro ( extra 20 if you need a pole for the dish to go on). The advertised speed was 6Mb but not sure what the actual speed is, (not much good at the techie bit) but it's much better than the Mifi kit we were using. I've not tried streaming any videos but for general web browsing, emails, and music streaming it's been good. Normally we've got about 4 phones/tablets/printers connected and there's been no prob so far.

The "switch on" when we came out last was very quick, they say 24hours but ours was on by the time we got back from their office. You can do this over the phone and pay by credit card if it's more convenient though. For our needs, as we are only out about 3 months of the year overall, this option has been great as we didn't want to commit to a monthly contract.

Hope this has helped you.

Cheers for your reply. The switch on, switch off is ideal for us, as we are only in Spain for short periods at a time. Could I be so bold to ask where your situated? We are above la marquesa golf course. As it could have a bearing on the quality of the speed etc.
Thanks again

We are in Entregolf near Villamartin, so some distance from yourself. I'm not sure how or where the roof dish picks up the satellite signals from but when we had it installed we were told that the engineer wouldn't install if the signal wasn't strong enough. We ordered ours from the office in Alcampo at La Zenia boulevard, people there were very helpful and spoke good English so it wasn't too difficult to ask questions.
You could also have a wander round your local area and see if many people have the dish installed, it's small only about 12 inches across so it's pretty obvious, that might give you a better idea if it works okay where you are.

All the microwave providers use small dishes of this type - so wandering around will tell you people are receiving a service - jut not which one. Best way is probably to knock on nearby neighbours properties as that will be the most accurate information.

I am also interested in this option. I live in Lo Pepin near Quesada, but only out twice a year. I understand the installation cost. What are the pay as you go costs, for example are they charged per day etc I have been on the TVHoradada web site but it's all in Spanish.

Thanks

Yes , they have a daily charge , and you need to arrange the switch on by using debit / credit card by phone or at the shop. It's roughly 15 euros for 7 days.
Hope this helps

We are in Pueblo Brava and are using the TV Horadada service. The speed is decent but once summer starts (and a lot of users connect) it slows down considerably.
The dish they install is to capture their Wimax signal (not satelite !). To receive a decent quality of service, you should have a clear (as possible) line of sight between your dish and one of their (big) Wimax transmitter towers around Quesada.
