SKY GO

Hi Michelle,
Do you have a Sky account in the UK, and have you ever tried using Sky Go in the UK on a tablet or PC?

The best way to extend your internet connection to a laptop upstairs is to run an Ethernet cable from your router to the computer upstairs. If this isn't practical then a 'powerline extender' is the next best option. These use the mains wiring to transmit the internet connection from one part of the house to another. I'd suggest that you take photos of your router and your computer upstairs then go to Mediamarkt in Zenia Bvld and get them to show you what's available.

That's Kodi for you. Can be unstable and does periodically need rebuilding.

We have technicians locally that could do this for you. Also if you would like they can demonstrate an IPTV system that does without such issues of Kodi - simpler to use, stable and 800 live channels, thousands of films & series on demand + catch up TV. Different languages also available on a single system.

We offer all types of TV systems and can offer advice accordingly based on your requirements. Legal & well established - advertise on this forum.

EDIT:

Update 2/2/17 – As of now, many builds and addons are not working properly with this new release of Kodi 17.0 “Krypton”. With that being said, my download links will remain pointing at Kodi 16.1 until I have tested the current version and am happy with things working properly. I will be digging into this project over the weekend and will keep you all updated on the progress.

Above is an excerpt from a developers blog who works on the specifically Firestick software & apps. It would appear still issues with new version of Kodi - so if updating then some apps may not work. However if you do not update, soon some are likely to not work? This could prove a little problematic as if you update, you may find a 'half working' update or some of your preferred applications not available. Unfortunately until is updated won't know.

Would suggest if you do want a stable IPTV service and are prepared to pay a reasonable subscription - from €20 per month, this provides a different set top box & service, easier to use, stable with more without this type of issues. Happy to send a technician around to demonstrate - no obligation.

I thought that might be the case as your original question didn't make much sense.
Sky Go is a way for Sky customers to watch programmes on mobile devices while they're away from home.
If you don't have a Sky subscription then you can't use it, although you could potentially use your daughters subscription. However, I doubt that Sky Go is actually what you need, especially if you want to watch on TV reather than a mobile device.

I'd suggest that you get a sattelite dish installed, preferably with a twin feed from the dish to your living room.
If you're happy wit the free to air sattelite programs (including BC, ITV etc.) then go for a Humax Freeview sattelite box that will allow you to pause live TV and record one channel while you watch another (if you have twin feeds from the dish).
If you need other channels then go for a Sky subscription and use a Sky box instead of a Humax Freeview box.
