Superbeam TV & Eurona offline?

Superbeam TV & Eurona offline?

Postby Paul - TV Techie » Mon Mar 13, 2017 7:03 pm

From Superbeam website
THIS AFTERNOON (13/03/17) IN THE STORM THAT HIT CIUDAD QUESADA OUR MAIN TRANSMISSION MAST HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DESTROYED (YES THE NEW MAST WE HAVE JUST INSTALLED JUST OVER A YEAR AGO) THE MAST FROM THE COMPANY EURONA HAS ALSO BEEN DESTROYED.
WE REALISE THAT THIS IS ALMOST AN EXACT REPEAT OF THE PROBLEMS WE HAD IN LATE 2015. ALL WE CAN SAY TO YOU, OUR CUSTOMERS IS THAT WE WILL MAKE THE REPAIRS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AND TO ASK FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

Thank you Paul TV Techie - We realise that we are rival companies in the television field. But we appreciate you copying our message from the homepage of the Superbeam TV website. Unfortunately for ourselves (Superbeam TV) and Eurona - the storm this afternoon left us with badly damaged equipment.

Also just had reported to us others have major damage too.

A massive mast come down in Via Park 3 this afternoon too. Looked like a LOT of dishes / aerials / antennas attached to it. Went through the canopy of the Lime Bar terrace. Believe Azurtel in this location, also others - unsure at the moment, will update if any further reports.

Thanks for your input Evy - we have some more information and pictures also of the damage you mention on our Facebook page.

Trying to get as much information for people as looks like 3-4 internet providers offline and certainly 1, maybe more than 1 TV - rebroadcast type company.

More info and you have information to share with others locally - www.facebook.com/televisiontechnology

One back up ;) - looks like Torresat may be still off as we had a few mentions on the Facebook page last night - no updates today so far.

We have received a few calls from people with internet issues still - it may be the case that if your provider is online - that the small 20cm or so dish on the roof may have moved a little, which would affect your internet, even if providers masts ok.

Suspect a few internet / TV companies swamped with enquiries and will take a little longer than usual to work through - just due to volume.

We can confirm Eurona is still working hard over the weekend, building a new mast in Quesada. Everyone else on the Thader building looks to be OK
