Cuidad quesada

Postby STEVE&LYNN » Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:50 pm

Hi All

We are new to the Forum, seems a great place to start.. My partner and I are looking to move to the Quesada area around November this year for 6 months to sample the Spanish lifestyle and then make the decision whether or not to move out permanently. Can anyone tell us if Quesada is the best part to be, as we also looked at Dona Pepa, any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Steve & Lynn.

Also looking for long term rental 3 bedrooms preferably, where would we find best place to rent.

Hi both we don't live in Spain yet but have been back & forth to Quesada over the last ten years. We have stayed in several areas (holidays) and also looked at several areas for buying a property as we intend doing similar to what you are doing in November but not this year. Central Quesada area off the Main Street is quite flat & easy walking into town there are some small hills but we are over 60 and find it fine. Dona Pepa area is about 15 minute walk to town it's a nice area with supermarket & small number of shops etc. the golf is in a valley with some steep hills. We have been over in December & Quesada has always been lively where some places further along the coast have been dead with only holiday homes. Benimar on the outskirts of benijofar is also nice.
One area close to Quesada you have to cross the main busy road to benijofar & there are no lights at night if you look on Quesada map you will see what I mean. Hope this helps but it depends what you are looking for. Good luck

Hi both from Sue in Benimar, not strictly Quesada but close.
I lived on the coast at Playa Flamenca for two years after buying offplan with Atlas International in 2000 and moved to Spain in 2002.
We bought our house in benijofar after looking at approximately 50 properties from Quesada to La marina.
Our village is small but well maintained with a town hall , doctors, post office and police force, We have lots of great bars and restaurants on our doorstep plus we are in walking distance for Rojales and Quesada.
There are many good estate agents with Vincents real estate & casas manuel in Benijofar high street.
Depends on your budget and what you are looking for but we have a nice detatched villa on the side street below ours with private pool and underbuild asking 225k euro,(no community fees ) whilst the semi detatched maite style on the lower road can be asking around 120k( on a community)
Hope this helps and if you would like any more info feel free to reply or email.
