No problem Jan,

Its a shame some installers are only interested in making a sale, and forget to tell the end customer the ins and outs of vacuum tube solar water heaters.

I have seen a few failed units due to constant over heating, especially the high pressure type, steam is very powerful !

and if the safety valve becomes blocked ( with calcium build up ) something has to give !

In my opinion solar water heaters with a vented tank are better as water can boil out of the vent in the event of over heating.

Cheers Tony

Put so much into the grid now that the Energy Company thought we were turning the meter back. Now if only we could get cows to do the same for the Gas Bills.
