I live in Dona Pepa 2 and from my window I can see across Lemon Tree Rd to a lake. Does anybody know if and where you can gain access to this lake?
thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,

We have cycled partly around that lake (The Laguna Salada de la Mata). We found the dirt track a bit rocky & bumpy for our comfort to cycle all the way round though.Walking would be fine but it's a long hike. The only entrance we have found so far is by going out by the Consum/Lidls roundabout. From here turn left onto the Crevillent Road CV905 (on the way to Carrefour) then go straight on at the first roundabout and at the second roundabout you will see on your left hand side a wooden observation tower for viewing the lake and nature reserve. There are paths here to take you around the lake. It's a well cared for peaceful area, with covered wooden pagoda type seating along the route.
Jan.

Not sure if I'm describing the same route or not Jan (my sense of direction is zilch!) but the way we go is to drive to end end of the "Lemon Road" as if you're going to La Mata. Turn right onto that road (N332?) then when you get to the signs for La Mata, turn right at the roundabout not left. You come to a large car park with a building at the far end, the building is the information centre which hosts a visual display of the birds and plants you can spot near the lake. It also has leaflets in Spanish and in English which contain a maps of the two walks available. Well worth a visit.

Don't know if this is right place but does anyone know the name of the community
Down the hill from the pub and language school in dona pepa think it has a lot of houses at least ninety
And a small portion of the houses are not inside the gated complex which has a large pool
With a bridge that has plants on.
It has very tall pain trees can anyone name it?
Thank you
