It's good that you are not here now!! Storms at night and perishing during the day!! I'm just trying to sort out the practicalities of owning a car here now!! I went to the Suma office in Rojales about the car tax. Someone told me that I would be able to pay in cash for the coming year and then put the following years on direct debit! No! I gave the lady in the office my bank details and as long as I give my bank a copy of the form it the money should be paid over next year. She also gave me all the blurb for logging on to the Suma office and paying the coming year's tax on-line. The logistical bit is that all the documents will be sent to my Spanish home when I am not here - and so I will have to get someone to go to the postbox, open the letter and put the document with the rest of my car papers. The ITV - also due this year - is going to be another logistical problem - getting the car down to the ITV station and making sure that the battery isn't flat! A very good friend has kindly offered to help me out with one - but these are all little probs that I hadn't previously focused much attention on!!;)

Oh dear, I thought it seemed a bit too warm for January the last couple of weeks. At least it's not forecast to be raining this week out there and it's 10 degrees warmer than here in London but that's probably no comfort to you Sandra. I don't mind how hot is gets, but I hate being cold which is why we don't go to Spain in deepest winter - Though I do sometimes have regrets about not being there when I hear how warm it has been during the day. Maybe it will warm up soon for you.

Owning a car sounds a bit convoluted but hopefully the convenience will out-way the trouble when it's all sorted.
