Has anyone tried Firefly Car Rental in Alicante Airport?

I know this subject has been discussed before - but!


Has anybody hired from Firefly car rental recently - if so how did it go? I am looking to hire a car for 42 days and Firefly are the cheapest. I know I will need to pay for the fuel and sort out the additional insurance. Just trying to find out if they are as bad as some of feedback on the internet suggests.

they have very clean and modern cars , they are very good never had any problems and are very good value at certain times of the year , the office is in the actual carpark and they draw tickets like a meat counter at the supermarket to see people in order when busy , which is funny !!
used them 3 times and never had any problems , didn't have the extra insurance as felt waste of time

They also have an office in the terminal near Goldcar. Used them last week and have booked again for next month - very cheap and cars was quite new - low mileage and clean, although previous hirer had scratched it. Happy to recommend them.

Hi, I just rented a vehicle through Firefly last week and I must say they were very good. However, before you rent, check the price with www.doyouspain.com. I rent a lot of cars (4 in the last 2 months) and Do You Spain are the only people I use now. They are a broker and link with all of the companies, including Firefly. For example, from this coming Monday for 42 days they have a Ford Fiesta for €156. They include "full" insurance, but it's not really, because it doesn't cover glass or tyres, but of course you can buy extra insurance from the hirer if you so wish. Also, as usual, the car hire company charge the usual fuel charges etc. but I have yet to find a cheaper way of hiring a car. I don't work for them by the way, I just know they save me a lot of money.

I always use DoYouSpain to hire my cars as they are consistently best on price for my needs. Always had a good standard of service and car, and Firefly are no exception. My preference is to go full/full on the fuel and purchase annual insurance cover separately. Never had any problems with any of the cars hired through DoYouSpain so very happy to recommend.

Hi, we have used LARA CARS for the last 15 years, and never had any problems with them. And they are among the cheapest ones ! Just send them a mail and they give you a good price !
