Hi as far as I am aware the ITV stations are in Orihuela / Torrevieja / Pilar de la Horadada, current cost is 45 euros for Petrol and 55 euros for Diesel The later is apparently the friendliest and not to busy you can book an appointment online at them all. http://tuitv.es/cita-previa/index.php using the link I have been advised it is better not to use the Orihuela one!!

Hi,
Before going further afield it could be worth checking out the garages nearby - A number of them say they do ITV's and you could phone them or go in to see how good their English is. I would be surprised if any of them near Quesada do not, at least, speak a bit of English or has someone who does. There's a link here of some of the nearest to Quesada (We list business's on the forum for information only) :
Car garages, mechanics, tyre fitter centres in Quesada and the surrounding areas

The garages don't actually do the ITVs. What they do is check it will pass the test and then drive it to an ITV official testing station to get it done. Hence the post from ready766 quoting 90 euro. That will be the garage fee for doing it for you.
You don't really need an ITV station to speak English. They do it all by sign language by calling you forward and then will switch the lights/windscreen wipers on for you. The signal to start/stop your engine is done by turning his hand like a key and so on.
You can turn up without an appointment but you may have a longish wait as they will call cars in front of you who have booked in advance. I did go down with my next door neighbour who hadn't booked and we waited in the queue for about an hour but it did seem quite a busy day.

As marcliff says lots of places advertise but they have to take your car to one of the three official ITV testing stations.
If you use the link provided you can book in at any of the three. The one with the least waiting time is if you just turn up is apparently the Pilar one but its the furthest away so the best option is to book in but make sure you are on time.

Hi,
I agree with marcliff.
I´ve always taken my car to the ITV Station at Orihuela, you can´t miss it as it´s on the road from Almoradi. I always go around 4pm and there is usually no waiting time. They charged me just over 41€ about 3 weeks ago for a FIAT Punto.
Their service is excellent.
It´s easy to do yourself and you´ll save some money.

We had our car ITV test done today. Definitely worth pre booking your time slot. We had a time of 9.20 booked at the ITV test centre in Torrevieja and we were out just after 9.30!
