Just a note to say you give permission for such and such to drive your car is sufficient.
Yo, (name), da permiso de (name) a conducir mi coche con matricula (reg no).
Will be fine.

If it is a Spanish car and all documents are present .....I do not know why you need to sign a letter of consent ...it is the car that is insured not the driver. As long as they are within the age bracket of your insurance there should be no problem.

As far as I'm aware, on my Insurance anon over 26 yrs old can legally drive it (so long as they have a licence). Be aware though that any fines that accrue will be down to the registered owner, not the driver.

I had heard you need a letter authorising another person to drive your car. Best check with the insurance company, just pop into any office and ask, you will get the correct answer then

it is better to have a letter on consent ,as the police stopped me once when driveing someones car,and stated that i could have stolen the car, also if you are letting persons who are over the age of 70 yrs drive your car ,they should be named on your insurance. according to my insurance company.

The vehicle may be impounded if you cannot prove on the spot that you have permission to be in control of it. It is also advisable to have a copy of the owner's passport or Spanish driving licence scanned onto the signed letter as proof of originating authenticity.

In the UK anyone else not named on your policy can drive your car, but insurance will be third party only. Don't know if its the same in Spain?
