register my uk car in spain

Hi can anyone tell me the step by step procedure to registering my UK car in Spain please think I know the approx cost and have worked out not worth driving back to UK to sell or buying a Spanish car,
so what do i have to do live in Almoradi area
can I take it to a local garage to do it including changing headlights and paperwork
have seen ads for people who do it for you but probably cost more
and if you take it to a main dealer it probably is more also

Someone may be able to give you step by step instuctions but I would ask Amanda for a quote she is at trffico at least twice a week and don't forget if you have an NIE with three month expiary you will have to renew just before you do the car as Traffico now insist on an up to date one!.

You can buy headlights at most Recambio shops. There is a good one in Almoradi near the square. An average person can change them in half an hour. Don't think about doing the paperwork yourself! Get a couple of quotes from Gestors you can find in most free papers.
It is going to cost you a large sum of money to put it on Spanish plates depending on the age of the car it may not be worth it (500 to 800 euros). Good luck with it............... Richard
