Where can I buy breathalyzer kits?

Hi, we are driving back to the UK at the end of the month. We will be driving up through France to Calais. Now due to French officialdom always on the lookout for ways of fleecing foreign tourists, I have to have two breath kits in the car. Does anyone know where I can get them here, or do I have to pull into the nearest service station at the French border and get them there?

Hi Chrissie,
I seem to remember seeing them in the Lemon Tree market, so they may be in other markets as well - It may be worth looking. Also you could ask in a big Chinese Bazaar, they seem to have most things.
Hopefully, someone on here may know for sure.

Media Markt in Elche have them on offer at the moment (can't remember how much, but cheap enough to make me think about getting one). Next door to Carrefour, on the N340 just off the E15/A7. Have a good trip.

You can also buy them at any service station on the border. It must have an NF mark on it (French equivalent of British kitemark). However, the French have stopped fining drivers for not carrying them but it is still a legal requirement to have them. Go figure!
