The Crevillente Moors and Christians Fiesta is going on now.

Here is a list of the main events from the 19th September with an English translation:

FRIDAY, 19TH OF SEPTEMBER:
At 6:00 p.m: MEDIEVAL MARKET OPENING. AYUNTAMIENTO DE CREVILLENT 21
The medieval market is back in Crevillent- It will be located at “Plaza del Ayuntamiento” and
“Plaza de la Constitución”. The market offers a wide range of activities for children and
adults . You’ll find medieval craft stalls, animal and workshops for children, you’ll be able to
try the food at medieval taverns, buy souvenirs at the stalls, etc..
This activity is organized by “Ayuntamiento de Crevillent Concejalía de Fiestas y Juventud”
with the cooperation of “Asociación de Fiestas “San Francisco de Asís”. The market will
remain opened from Friday, 19th September to Sunday 21st from 10:00 to 14:00 hours and
from 16:00 to 23:00.

At 8:15 p.m: There will be an official change of the Association standard-bearer
Flags exchange between the Captain Fraternities; Appointment of the 2014 Rai’s and King
Jaume I; Concert of Typical Festive Music.
These acts will take place at the Auditorium in the City House of Culture, José Candela Lledó.

SATURDAY,20TH OF SEPTEMBER:
DESDE LAS 18:00h DE LA TARDE HASTA LAS 02:00h DE LA MADRUGADA: PARTY
VIDEOCONSOLAS Y CAMPEONATO 2.014
This event is promoted by “Ayuntamiento de Crevillent Concejalía de Fiestas y Juventud”
in order to grant all video gaming fans a day of leisure and technology for their enjoyment.
All consoles will be installed by the organizers to let the video gaming fans enjoy this event.
Attendees will be able to play several different games such as FIFA 14, LIPS, KINECT
DANCENTRAL, PRO 14, VIRTUAL TENNIS, CALL OF DUTY GHOST, ROCK BAND, KARAOKE,
TEKEN, ETC.
Attendance is free. Championships will be held and many prizes will be given.
At 8:15 p.m: Appointment act of 2014 Captains and Beauties
This act will take place at the Auditorium in the City House of Culture. During the act there will be an exchange of flags between last year’s captain fraternities and this year’s ones.
Once the act is over, there will be a dinner at “Las Palmeras’ Restaurant” gardens, located
at Ctra. Murcia-Alicante, to honour the proclaimed Festival characters. At the dinner will be music by a D.J.

SUNDAY: 21ST OF SEPTEMBER
BETWEEN 09: 00h MORNING (walkers), AND 10: 00h (runners) starting at “La Morquera”.
III WALKING-RUNNING EVENT CREVILLENT - CAMPING COSTA BLANCA MARJAL, “THEY
NEED YOU” Centro Excursionista (Hiking Centre) organizes the event, in collaboraion with
“Ayuntamiento de Crevillente” and “Asociación de Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos de Crevillent”.

AT 10: 00h. MORNING: FIRST BOBBIN LACE MEETING IN CREVILLENT
Bobbin Lacemakers from Alicante region and Murcia meet ng will take place at Calle Blaco
Ibañez from from 10:00 am with the reception of participants, then from 10: 30h to 13:00,
workshops and demonstration of bobbin lace will be developed, and there will be stalls selling
lace bobbin products
This event is organized by “Grupo de Bolilleras CEAM Crevillent and “Concejalía de Cultura”.
THURSDAY 25TH OF SEPTEMBER
At 20: 00 p.m.: CLASS MASTER OF BODY COMBAT AND ZUMBA
At “Plaza de la Constitución”, A stage will be installed for anyone who wishes to join in with classes of Body Combat and Zumba, directed and taught by great professionals in these disciplines such as the instructors from Marsh GYM.
This activity is organized and sponsored by Ayuntamiento de Crevillent Concejalía de Fiestas y
Juventud and with the collaboration of Marsh GYM.

FRIDAY, 26TH OF SEPTEMBER:
At 8:00 p.m: All fraterniies will group at “Plaza Chapi”, to start the “Pasacalles” parade from EXCMO. AYUNTAMIENTO DE CREVILLENT 23
“La Morquera” to the Town Hall.
At 9:00 p.m: PRIMER TRO and InauguraƟ on of the Offi cal Street LighƟ ng
The City mayor will make a speech from the balconies of the Town Hall.
At 11:45 p.m.: L’Entraeta Parade
Captain’s troops will start on Parquet Telmo Vela and will end on Plaza de la
Constitución. Once the parade is over, a D.J. will play music.

SATURDAY, 27TH OF SEPTEMBER:
At 11:00 a.m.: Activities for youngsters. There will be games and activities such as trampolines,
inflatables, and many others activities to liven up kids evening. These activities will take
place at “La Rambla” next to the obelisk. It will finish at 2:00 p.m.
This activity is organized by “Ayuntamiento de Crevillent Concejalía de Fiestas y Juventud”
with the cooperation of “Asociación de Fiestas “San Francisco de Asís”.
From 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m.: SKATEPARK
In “Plaza de la Constitution”, young people can enjoy for the first time in Crevillente
a Skate Park, where they will be able to practice their favourite sport such, Skating,
in a prepared area for it. It will be composed of 6 quarter pipes, 2 grind boxes and
1 funbox and one banked ramp and either workshops or activities will take place.
This activity is organized and sponsored by “Ayuntamiento de Crevillent Concejalía de Fiestas
y Juventud”
At 7:30 p.m: There is a Comedy Parade and all the fraternity take part in the parade. It will start on “Calle Santo Tomás” and continue along “Avda. de Madrid, Stma. Trinidad, San Sebastián, Plaza Chapí, Blasco Ibáñez and Plaza de la Constitución”.

SUNDAY, 28TH OF SEPTEMBER:
At 11:30 a.m: Visit to the Old People’s home.
From the Association headquarters, there will be a parade and we’ll be visiting our old
citizens. The parade route will be the following: Plaza de la Constitución, Purísima, E. Valera,
Pº Abrets, Vereda Hospital and Hermanas Carmelitas.24
Programme 2014
At 1:00 p.m: GREAT HAMBURGER PARTY
The event will be organized and sponsored by Grupo Ortolá. With the cooperation of “Excmo.
Ayuntamiento” and “Asociación de Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos”. During the event there will
be free hamburger as well as free beverages for all assistants.

TUESDAY,30TH OF SEPTEMBER
At 8:30 p.m: Humour Parade Winners Awards Presentation.
This will take place at the Association headquarters located at Plaza de la Constitución 11.
THURSDAY, 2ND OF OCTOBER
FROM 20:00 p.m.: REVUE SHOW In the auditorium of the Municipal House of
Culture, a Revue Show will be a performed for our elders, with a performance. a comedian and a Spanish song singer.
FREE ENTRANCE (limited to capacity of the venue)

FRIDAY 3RD OF OCTOBER
At 7:15 p.m: Children’s Parade
The youngest members from all the bands will be on a parade. The route will be as follows:
Puertas de Orihuela (Parque Telmo Vela), Stma. Trinidad, San SebasƟ án, Plaza Chapi, Blasco
Ibáñez to end at Plaza de la ConsƟ tución.
At 9:15 P.M.: FraterniƟ es meet up at Plaza de la Constitución to partcipate in Ra’is Embassy
In front of Crevillent moorish castle, located at Plaza de la Constitución, the Christian troops,
with their ambassador leading them, will kidnap the Ra’is of the City starting the war between EXCMO. AYUNTAMIENTO DE CREVILLENT 25
Moors and Christians.
At midnight: “Barraca Popular” Opening
Great dances and performances at the parking area on “la Rambla” next to the obelisk. There
will be D.J’s and lots of fun. This event is sponsored by the City Hall Festival Department.

SATURDAY, 4TH OF OCTOBER
San Francisco de Asís Festivity, City’s Patron Saint
At 7:30 a.m.: Festival Reveille
Parade across the City from both bands, Moors and ChrisƟ ans.
At 11:00 a.m.: First Official Festival Parade
Christian Troops scheduled parade from “La Morquera” to “Plaza de la Constitución” with the
following order and schedule for each of them, the last troops to parade are Marroquies as
they hold the Captaincy of the Moorish Troops:
CHRISTIAN TROOPS DAY
At 11:45h ALMOGÁVARES; 11:57h CABALLEROS DEL CID; 12:09h CASTELLANO LEONESA;
12:21h DRAGONES DE SAN JORGE; 12:33h GUERREROS ASTURES; 12:45h MASEROS.; 13:00h
MARROQUÍES.
Note: Out of the scheduled hours all troops can parade on this location as many times as they
want.
From 12:00 onwards, the mobile Disco will open to the public to allow them to enjoy
a festivity area with “Tapas” and drinks at reasonable prices, with music and inflatables for
children.
At 6:30 p.m:
Christian Troops Entrance
Starting on c/ Santo Tomás it will go along Avda. de Madrid, Stma Trinidad, San Sebastián, Blasco Ibáñez, Plaza de la ConsƟ tución and will be ending on Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, 2.
At midnight: “Barraca Popular” Opening
Great dances and performances at the parking area on “la Rambla” next to the obelisk. There
will be D.J’s and lots of fun. This event is sponsored by the City Hall Festival Department.

SUNDAY,5TH OF OCTOBER:
At 7:30 a.m.: Festival Reveille
Free parade across the City from both bands, Moors and Christians.
At 11:00 a.m.: Second Official Festival Parade
Moorish Troops scheduled parade from “La Morquera” to “Plaza de la Constitución” with
the following order and schedule for each of them, the last troops to parade are Maseros
as they hold the Captaincy of the Christian Troops:
MOORISH TROOPS DAY
At 11:45h OMEYAS; 11:57h VIEJOS TUAREGS; 12:09h BENIMERINS; 12:21h BEDUINOS; 12:33h
BERBERISCOS; 12:45h MARROQUÍES; 13:00h. MASEROS.
Note: Out of the scheduled hours all troops can parade on this location as many times as
they want.
From 12:00. onwards, the mobile Disco will open to the public to allow them to enjoy
a festivity area with “Tapas” and drinks at reasonable prices, with music and inflatables for
children.
At 6:30 p.m: Moorish Troops Entrance
It will follow the same route as for the Christians Troops- Entrance and as stated before all
bands have to end the parade at the place mentioned before.
At the end of the parade, the act called “Ví Crevillenơ ” will take place. It’s compulsory
to end this act to have special guest tickets that are given by the Town Hall and the
Association to their guests.
At midnight: Barraca Popular
We’ll continue with dances. Party is guaranteed, don’t miss it. EXCMO. AYUNTAMIENTO DE CREVILLENT 27

MONDAY, 6TH OF OCTOBER
At 8:00 a.m.: “ALARDO DE ARCABUCERÍA”
All troops will gather at Paseo del Calvario to participate in the “Alardo”. The Christian troops
will come down from “El Calvario” to “La Morquera” and will go on “Calle Blasco
Ibáñez” stopping their shootings at 9:30 a.m. at “Plaza de la Constitución”.
Both the ChrisƟ an troops and the Moor troops will follow the same route.
At 10:45 a.m.: Flower offering Parade to the Patron Saint
The parade will start, with all women from both bands, on Parque Telmo Vela and will end on
Plaza de la Constitución.
At 12:30 p.m: Solemn Sung Mass to honour our patron saint “San Francisco de Asís”
Religious act to honour our patron saint, in the Ntra. Sra. de Belén Church. Once the mass is over, the Festival Hymn will be performed inside the church and will be directed by Mr. Ramón Mas Soler.
At 4:30 p.m: “ALARDO DE ARCABUCERÍA”
All shooters will meet up at “Paseo del Calvario” to participate in the “Alardo”. following the same route.
Note: In both “Alardos” it will only be permiƩ ed to shoot from “calle Blasco Ibáñez” to “Paseo
del Calvario” where all the troops will meet up.
At 6:00 p.m.: King’s Jaume I Embassy
The Moor ambassador will negotiate in order to free Ra’is of Crevillent swearing vassalage to
King Jaume I. This act will take place at “Plaza de la Constitución”.
At 8:30 p.m.: Solemn festive parade to honour the patron saint of our city
The parade will go from Parroquia de la Stma. Trinidad to Ntra. Sra. de Belén. At the end
of the parade, there will be an spectacular firework display and the Festival Hymn will be
performed.
