There is the Easter (Semana Santa) fiestas around the area. This year as Easter is early the fiesta may be at the end of March. The Semana Santa is spectacular and is held in many towns around Quesada including Rojales, Torrevieja, Guardamar and others.

In May there are May Fairs in different areas.

In June there is the San Juan Bonfires in many coastal towns including Torrevieja.
The San Juan bonfires are lit to celebrate the arrival of the summer, with the bonfires being lit in celebration. Neighbourhoods around the town of Torrevieja each hold their own bonfires to celebrate the arrival of summer. The most spectacular though is generally the firework display and bonfires on the beach.

There are always fiestas in June, July, August and September/October (in August there is usually the Quesada Fiesta in the town too) Plus various events around December in most towns. So if you are here June and September you may catch some great fiestas.

We always put the dates and programmes of all Fiestas and other events on the forum, in the area and surrounding areas, as soon as we get them. Many town halls don't publish the dates & programmes until a few weeks before each event.

Hope this helps.

I have a friend who'd like to arrange a visit around the August dates, so I'd be grateful if anyone could help.

The Quesada fiesta is usually around the second weekend in August but dates haven't been announced yet and as has been indicated above these dates are not usually made public until a month or so before.

We will keep trying to get them though.
