To comply with Spanish law you just need a passport as you are still a EU citizen.
Are you moving permanently? Are you over pensionable age? Do you already have an NIE and a bank account? Are you bringing a car or furniture with you? (You can import personal goods at no charge so not paperwork but, if bringing a car, you will need all the documentation that goes with it).
There are no visas, work permits or anything like that to apply for to move to Spain.
There are loads of papers and documentation required once actually here.
If you are over pensionable age, you can contact the Overseas Healthcare team at Newcastle to arrange an S1 form to transfer your healthcare across. Bring you EHIC to tide you over until you are on the system.

Hi
You said on a previous post that you were getting lots of enquiries about this why not put it on here to help everyone. I'm sure the person you used to get your residencia will not mind getting a 'plug" on here.

As has been said before if everyone PM'd their advice this forum would not be very helpful...That's what a forum is for!

I have been asked that before but I pointed out that as I mention professional people by name I do not feel it is right. Also, some member of this excellent forum can get a bit argumentative. Sorry.

Can you send it on a PM to me as I am curious to see why you think people would get argumentative about you giving advice on how you obtained your residencia?

Thank you

Sorry, I think I will cancel my offer. The response has been overwhelming and lots of thank yous but maybe time i will bow out on that subject. I think you want to see my report for the wrong reasons. I am trying to help people, not be judged. I can't see whats wrong with PM.

Your correct in saying this is "an excellent forum" we have found it to be extremely helpful and entertaining at times, why not PM Jan and let a decision be made from there.

Sorry, the UK voted to come out of the EU to obtain freedom of choice. I don't feel it would be a good move. I won't be sending it to any more people.
