Quesada Fiesta 2014 - Programme of events

SUNDAY, 27 JULY

At 2:00 p.m. Traditional Giant Paella in the Plaza Blanca (Bar Service will be available). Live performance by “The Melody Singer”.

FRIDAY, 1 AUGUST

At 9.30 p.m. Martial Arts, Zumba and Flamenco display by “The Dojo” of Ciudad Quesada.

At 10:30 p.m. Grand Flamenco Show by the Dance Ensemble “Embrujo”, the Andalusian Choir “Rafael Alberti” of Casa de Andalucía from Torrevieja and Manuel Fernández, son of Antonio Fernández “El Torero”. They will offer us a varied repertoire (Sevillanas, Rumba, Pasadoble, Copla, etc) including a tribute to Paco de Lucía.

To follow, Mobile Disco by Sonotec Audio till 5:30 am.

(All these events will take place on stage which will be mounted on the Plaza Blanca of Ciudad Quesada)

SATURDAY, 2 AUGUST

At 9:00 p.m. Mobile Disco by Sonotec Audio at the Plaza Blanca.

At 10:00 p.m. Summer Carnival parade (same route as in previous years).

Followed by Mobile Disco till 5:30 a.m.

SUNDAY, 3 AUGUST

At 10:00 a.m. The Band “Agrupación Musical Los Solfamidas” of Rojales parading round the streets.

At 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass in honour of San Iusto in the “San Iosé” church of Ciudad Quesada. Following the Mass, a pilgrimage will take place in the area around the Church in honour of San lusto.

At 9:00 p.m. Live performance by “The Melody Singer” at the Plaza Blanca. He will offer us a varied repenoire (Pasodoble, Ranchera, Bachata, Merengue, etc) in Spanish and English.

At 10:30 p.m. In the Plaza Blanca, “Cuerpo y Alma” Show by Curro Piñana and his Flamenco Dance Ensemble.

At 12:00 midnight, Fireworks by Pirotecnìa Ferrández of Redován. To follow, Mobile Disco till 5:30

Yes it normally is the first week in August but will try to get some information asap.

Have you ever found details of any Fiesta's since 2011 on the Rojales town hall website Mike - It's a bit of a sore point with me, I'm sorry to say, as this is the latest information on there for Fiesta's:
29/06/2011 29 de junio, miércoles: San Pedro Apóstol
07/10/2011 7 de octubre, viernes: Nuestra Señora del Rosario

I know I've said this a few times but when are they going to get their act together and put up to date information on their website?! - There isn't even a 'contact us' email address on the website, unless I'm missing something.
