Postby Martin the artist » Thu Jan 07, 2016 10:51 am

With 5 more months until the Moors & Christians fiestas, on Sunday 31st January from midday, the various comparsas will dress up and parade from the Thursday market ground to fight & 'take' the old bridge and then move into the playground where there will be a dance show and music.

.. Google translated the flyer..

Half a year drunk. You should know 2016 and take the bridge. Sunday, January 31th at 12:00 pm departure fairgrounds.
Next Sunday 31th of January 2016 at 12:00 H. Will take place the concentration of the groups of Moorish and Christian in the rojales rencinto ferial (market area of the Thursday) for the realization of the parade of the half year drunk. You should know 2016 and then will take place the shot of the bridge, on the bridge of Seating Carlos III.
The parade will end on the boardwalk of Soto and will give way to the filing of charges and comparsas in the act which will take place.
- all invited to live a half a year drunk. You should know different.

Google translate on Facebook is rubbish... There's no mention of drunk, if you run it through google translate not on FB you get a slightly more accurate one:-

Next Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 12:00 h. will be the concentration of the Moors and Christians parades of Rojales in Rencinto fair (market area Thursday) for the realization of festive HALF YEAR PARADE 2016 and will be followed by the taking of the bridge, on the bridge masonry Carlos III .
The parade will end at the Malecón del Soto and give way to the filing of charges and extras in the act to be performed.
Quedais all invited to experience a different Festero Half Year.

But best translate info yourself :) Still make some mistakes though.

The month of June is yhe fiesta month for Rojales leading up to the Moors & Christians which is usually the first weekend in July.
So I expect the battle will take place on Thursday evening 30th June followed by the charranga (fun/fancy dress parade) on the Friday night (1st July) and the 2 Moors & Christian parades on Sat 2nd & Sunday 3rd nights.

The Moors and Christians celebrate Sunday Rojales Middle Festero Year organized by the Central Board along with the Department of Festivities. This event will feature several new features compared to previous years, since the sides of the Cross and Crescent represent a battle called 'Taking the bridge', in addition to a new troupe is incorporated, Los Guerreros del Cid, who will for the first time in official acts.
The councilman Festival says it is to reinvent this celebration by organizing a large number of events and also taking advantage of historic buildings, such as masonry bridge over the eighteenth century that the battle will be represented. Scheduled activities include a dance performance by the Municipal School of Dance and Music. The events begin shortly before 12:30 with the start of the parade through the main streets of the town. One will consist of Christian comparsas (Smugglers, Pirates and Warriors Cid) and another blackberries (Berber, Tuareg, Almohades and Benakíes). Both sides arrive by different streets to the ends of the bridge where the guerrillas will take place as well as a play where all festive participate.
Once this act, the party will continue in the Malecón del Soto, with the presentation and tribute to the flag bearers and bearers and captains 2015.
