San Miguel fiestas - now till Oct 4th 2015

The town of San Miguel de Salinas will be celebrating it's annual fiesta from the 17th September to the 4th October 2015. During the celebration they will honouring San Miguel Arcangel as well as enjoying concerts, tapas route, carnival parade, lots of partying and a firework display.
The main highlights are:
Thursday 17th September
21:00 5th Contest of decorating the streets.
Saturday 19th September
21:00 Inauguration of the fiesta and coronation of the children and teenage Fiesta Queens in the Plaza de la Libertad, followed by music from the band Vinilo.
23:00 Partying in the Barraca.
Saturday 26th September
19:00 Carnival Parade, followed by partying at the Barraca Popular.
Sunday 27th September
12:00 6th Tapas Route with music by the Drum Band and the Tourist Train will be providing free transport between the participating establishments.
Monday 28th September
20:00 Flower Offering Parade in honour of San Miguel Arcangel, followed by partying in the Barraca, followed by an open air concert by Jazz Quartet Nostalgia in the Plaza de la Libertad
Tuesday 29th September
12:00 Mass in honour of San Miguel Arcangel.
20:00 Procession with the statue of San miguel followed by a firework display.
Saturday 3rd October
10:00 Craft Fair at rhe Social Centre
Equestrian Competition at the Recinto Feria on Ctra. Campoamor near the Castle
11:30 Horse and Carriage Parade through the streets of the town.
12:00 Equestrian Games
Sunday 4th October
Giant Paella in the Plaza Jaime I with live music

And on Thursday (24th Sept) they are having a water slide along the streets which sounds like fun.
