It really is only a risk if your dog is not on a lead, I have been involved with trying to sort this problem for a number of years.

I personally am always grateful to people pointing out dangers, whether big or small. If it hadn't been for one such warning I read on here last year I would have picked up the lovely fluffy caterpillars that crossed my path a short while after, and heaven knows what state I may have found my health in then.

Four armed is always forewarned so, if only for my benefit, long may these kinds of informative posts continue, and be repeated :-)

My husband and I will be moving to Quesada in September. We are hoping to get a dog once we are settled. I am glad that things get posted on here whether it be once, twice or however many times it takes to make people aware of things happening in Spain which don't happen in the U.K. I did not know about these caterpillars and am glad it has been posted again. I now know to look out for these. Nobody forces you to read these posts and certainly no one should complain if it gets posted again. There are new people coming on to the forum all the time and I am sure they were happy with your post if they have a dog.

Thanks to you all for supporting my post and that it should remain a live post.

I have only lived in Quesada for 2 years so I'm still a newbie really compared to others that have lived here for many years.

But since I have been here this forum has been a massive help to me whether it be for advice or information.

I have a dog and wouldn't of known about these caterpillars unless it was for this forum putting information on here about them. New people move to Quesada all the time with their pets and without such information being posted these people wouldn't have a clue about the dangers they carry.

So a mahoosive thanks to Jan and to your team for running a great forum and to all the members.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend all.
