WARNING: Just seen trail of processional caterpillars on the pavement in Avenida de Malaga Dona Pepa, adjacent to wasteland opposite urbanization Sandra.

Is this actually a man-made net? It looks very much like the nests that these caterpillars make for themselves
to develop in and which hang from fir trees all over Spain. Look around as you travel through wooded areas.
There are thousands of them. Googled images:

Warning- Saw x2 very long trails of the caterpillars on the Reccoral today.

Has anyone any ideas for alternative locations where dogs can run, without fear from the caterpillars? TIA

Just come across a couple of trails of processionary caterpillars in the gardens opposite the Scandinavian school.

Jordy, I don,t think caterpillars wrap their nests up in meat!
Seems a calculated act to lure unsuspecting dogs.
Definitely a sick twisted person at work....even if it took place years ago.
Dread to think they may still be at large!
