If you took out a mortgage then your bank would probably have them.
If not then the notary where you signed for the house or your original solicitor could have them.
They will also have been put on the land registry and your solicitor should know where to get them from.

If no mortgage then I would check with the notary before whom you signed them.

When we first bought a house here we had a mortgage but on coming out of the Notary the manager handed our escritura to us! So you may have been given them? The solicitor who acted for you should have received the originals and can apply for a copy.

Just hope that your deeds weren't sent to Madrid for storage, my brother sold his house last year, (finally) and it took the solicitors a total of 8 months to retrieve the deeds

We have our original deeds. They were given to us on completion of our house in Spain. We took a copy to leave in Spain and keep the original with all our important paperwork in the UK.
Our UK house deeds are stored at the bank where we had a mortgage, by leaving £125 in the mortgage account. That seemed a safe option.

We bought our apartment last month with no mortgage and we were given an envelope of documents by the Notary when we signed which included a copy of what I presume is the deeds. If you were also given an envelope it is probably in there.
