Where you live in the U.K., if people rolled up next door to you for a fortnight making noise at all hours when you had to get up for work you'd soon get fed up with it.
Too much illegal renting in my opinion.
I agree with you, but also when owners use an agency to rent out their property, the people are not vetted, but there again, how can they? What they can do, is call in now and again to check that everything is o.k. When the person next door to me rented it for a month, the air conditioning was never switched off and she constantly banged the doors, especially at night time. So much so that my house shuddered every time she closed the door. Putting the handle right down would have prevented this, but it obviously didn't cross her mind. We put up with the other noise, the screaming during the thunderstorm and singing at stupid o'clock on the terrace. I emailed the owner and called in to the letting agent the next day, where I was verbally abused and told to get out. It is now 2 days since the person returned to the U.K. and the air conditioning is still running. The agent hasn't bothered to make a check on the property, knowing full well that she never turned the a.c. off for the length of time she was renting the house. They sent someone to see to the a.c. last week as I told them it was damaging the wall due to the constant water leaking from it. The guy who came up said it was in a terrible state, no wonder, the thing never got a rest!!!
We have endured a constant stream of people renting the property for almost 3 years and regret buying the house, as we would never have purchased it if we had known that holiday makers would be renting it all throughout the year.....not just the summer months.
All I ask, is for the owners who rent out their property to please have more consideration for their neighbours who live here, liaise with the agency to ensure they are making proper checks, not only on the property, but the people who are renting. Leave a "welcoming package" in the property and include a reminder of being considerate to the neighbours.
We pay our community fees to ensure our small community is well kept and don't expect to see holiday makers abusing OUR hospitality. Pool regulations have to be upheld, not ignored, mainly for health & safety and insurance cover.
For any renters who are using the letting agency on Quesada main street I would advise you to think again....they are the most unprofessional, bullies I have ever met.
Rant over....lol.

Ditto,
Your message completely echoes my experience in the same letting agency. As President of my Community I was approached by owners who were having similar problems to you.I went into the letting agency and tried to sort out the issues on our community.I'm afraid to say I got exactly the same response as you and was asked to leave their office and how dare I question their business. This happened over 18 months ago.The noisy tenants are still in the property and still causing problems even though the police have been called on 2 occasions.

Get your administrators on the case.
That's their job!!!
If they are ineffective SACK THEM.
Merely the threat will undoubtably wake them up.
Nobody should be putting up with such noise and rudeness.

So glad it isn't only me who got bullied by these two ignorant men. Obviously, they have no sense of responsibility and just happy to rake in the money from their clients. They didn't even care that there were 3 other clients in the office at the time. One was exchanging money and the other two were waiting. They heard everything that was said....and I'm surprised they stayed in there. Disgusting behaviour and I'm ashamed to say that these men are British. My husband was livid when I arrived home in tears, but he is biding his time until they make an appearance next door.

No need to get yourselves into bother.
There are people being paid good money (administrators) to deal with problems like yours.
Get them working.

I cannot believe in this day & age, that the problems mentioned cannot be solved one way or another. I would be absolutely shocked, upset & livid if I rented out my property & became aware of these type of problems. Thankfully, I'm glad I don't rent out.
I think that the agency should be made to sign a form to be made accountable for the tennants & have the powers of eviction should the tenants fail to curb their behaviour.
On the other hand, it may be that this letting agent could be fed up with carrying out investigations of complaints & discovering that it nothing like they have been told & put it down to typical "British Whinging" . Sometimes the conduct of residents with peaceful holiday makers leaves a lot to be desired.

Fed up or not...they are being paid to do their job. In my case, I went to the agent to let him know that the a.c. unit was constantly running for 3 weeks and the water leaking from it was damaging the wall. I took a photo of the wall which was turning black and they didn't even want to look at it. The owner has spent a lot of money refurbishing the house. The added complaint of the noise was also an issue. The two men shouted at me, were ignorant, rude and very abusive in the presence of 3 other customers who were in the agency at the time. Only one word for it....unprofessional!!!!

Quite agree, these companies are getting paid to investigate & deal with complaints. I don't know what the answer is but I agree that administrators should be able to do more.

We pay our administrators over €4000 per annum.
They can wield a lot of power if neccessary
Make them work for their money.
