Sleeping Problems

Postby jules1 » Wed Jan 03, 2018 4:32 am

Can anybody recommend any sleeping remedies please either natural or to buy at the pharmacy. Finding it very difficult to sleep for the past 3 weeks now and really feeling the effects of no sleep during the day.

Unless you work really strict hours then my advice is to sleep when your body tells you.
We all get hung up about getting our 6-8 hours in one go.
Our bodies are not designed for this,it is what society demands we should do.
It has worked wonders for me.
No more tossing and turning.
I get up.I read or go on my iPhone. Then when I get sleepy I go back to bed.
If I miss a few hours I make them up between 5-7pm when I am seldom doing anything anyway.
Good luck.

Try CBD oil. I find that it makes me relax. I take it before bedtime and first thing in the morning after getting up

If all of the alternatives dont work try Dormadina, its over the counter and I find it very good.

I bought some EnRelax forte from the farmacia and they were very good.

You take one tablet one hour before you go to bed there herbal so not addictive.

My sentiments exactly.
I believe that our bodies tell us what we need and if it's at all possible we should sleep when we feel tired. Many people fight it and think if they sleep then they won't sleep later. In fact I find that if I fight the 'need to sleep' during the day I don't always have such a good night's sleep later.
It works for children, well it did for mine, so why not us?
Although often parents will say things like 'don't let him/her sleep or she won't sleep later...well IMO that is rubbish and it's not fair on children to keep them going when they are fighting tiredness.

Therefore, I have always believe that the same goes for most adults. The body needs to relax and what better than a sleep during the day.
In China they now have sleeping stations in workplaces/offices apparently for the workers to refresh during the day. I wish they'd had that in my day. I always remember that 3pm+ feeling of fatigue when I hadn't been able to put my head down on my desk at lunchtime!
So pleased now that I can generally have a sleep when I'm tired at anytime.

Don't look at computer or phone screens for at least an hour before you go to bed. They give off an invisible blue light which triggers the brain into wakefulness. But I also agree about the CBD oil, which I take regularly - and even half a Dormidina tablets knocks me out. Hope you soon feel better.

I occasionally suffer from sleep problems and I’ve tried all sorts of remedies, as well as being careful about when I go to bed and what I do before going to bed - both in terms of what I eat and drink and my exposure to blue light.
The only thing that really works for me is a drug call Xanax. You can’t buy it over the counter in Spain or the UK, but you might be able to get a doctor to prescribe it. A 1mg tablet will give me 9 hours of sleep, but I’ll feel a bit groggy for half an hour after I’m out of bed. I find that once I’ve had one decent nights sleep then everything falls back into place and I don’t need to take anything on an ongoing basis. I certainly wouldn’t want to be using Xanax regularly, but it does the trick as a one-off. I also use it for long-haul flights - I take one just as they start boarding the plane and I’m usually asleep before we take off!

Pete.

Download your favourite music. The stuff that reminds you of previous happiness, people and places. Play it softly while you fall asleep. It's wonderful. The images take you to a forgotten place and on to the present.
Relax, enjoy and sleep.
