Totally agree.. called for a referendum with no plans in place .. what a plonker...

After months of discussions all they have is a "sort of" part agreement saying UK people can still use their EHICS (when most people have travel insurance anyway..)

Well, slapa-my-thigh... everything is coming up roses...

Totally agree with you he lost his bottle and was forced into a referendum by UKIP. people didn't take the vote seriously enough and look where we are now.

You cannot seriously suggest that the UK should have spent countless millions on a plan to leave the EU before it called a referendum where it was recommending we should stay?

But the whole thing about Cameron calling a referendum in fear of the loss of support to UKIP proves that the Tories care more about being in power than the interests of the County.

He shouldnt have called a referendum without knowing the facts, possible outcome and procedure. I was always a Cameron supporter.

No 'facts' would be known until after Article 50 was invoked as, no negotiations were started until that moment. And it's the negotiations that will produce the facts.

All we had up until Article 50 was speculation. Indeed, all the debate and furore since 23 June 2016 is speculation. All this Brexit means Brexit, hard Brexit, soft Brexit is speculation. The proposition the public voted on was simply do we leave or do we remain.

The only fact was the mechanism to leave. And thati quite simply is, invoke Article 50 and negotiate exit over two years.

Yep... we were given the option of voting for a pig in a poke or not voting...

Isn´t it going well...

And that´s exactly what people did...

--on both sides...

..It is like having a general election and not telling people what the parties were going to do if elected..

Ridiculous really.
So many things left up in the air.

They could probably do with at least five years to sort it all out.
