I love all this wonderful Quesada" history", how about this often quoted tall tale, if you stand with your back to Bravo Hills Club, and look in the distance, there used to be a large detached villa which looked for all the World a bit like a castle, especially to those of us who were new to Quesada and it's various building styles. We were told that the villa had "strong rooms" or cellars built underneath it, to keep all the cash safe, so who lived there? Why Quesada's most senior accountant of course. You may laugh, but in times past, Spain used to be awash with cash! so you never know, I wonder where it's all gone now.

Haha, another good one.. The guy who built this house in his own "style" and who still stays there, isn't the accountant of Quesada (that sounds like the name of a hit man! It's not and he's not and I'm not starting that rumour.. It's just a comment lol..)
He did however work as a senior member of staff at the building company with the old man. I don't know about safe rooms etc. but I doubt it. That's probably just another urban myth and rumour..

Naaaaaaaaa, that can't be right. We were told by our selling agent that it belonged to Mick Hucknell from Simply Red fame. Much more believable.

Never have I enjoyed a topic so much. I've sat here far too long reading every post ( I should be making lunch ) but hey ho. Incidently, we've lived here for 8yrs and never knew there was a duck pond. Never too old to learn they say. We can see Mick Bucknell's Castle from our roof terrace though!! lol.

Since this topic first aired,we made a point of finding the pond, when we were in the area.
We now go once a week and feed the ducks and geese over the fence, bird seed, sweetcorn, lettuce and wholemeal bread usually. They definitely recognize you and as soon as we pull up on the main road they start a chorus of honking and calling. We have met another lady who pops by and feeds them veggie scraps.
