Hi, just starting the process of buying a home in Spain & we like the look of Quesada !!
We are coming over on the 12th March - to do some serious research. I like the look of publeo Bravo - if any members live there or know about the place I would be most grateful for any information.
Thanks in advance Barry

We bought an apartment last year which we use as a holiday home. It's at the top of Av. del Mar, Pueblo Bravo. We love the area, it's very peaceful and only a 10 minute walk from Dona Pepa where there's a couple of bars and eating places as well as a Gama supermarket, chemist, health centre and a few other shops. A further 5 minutes walk takes you to another cluster of bars and restaurants. From our place, I'd say it would be approximately 20 minutes walk to the centre of Quesada but we either drive in, or if we want to have a few drinks, we catch the bus which stops directly across from our apartment. The bus only runs once or twice a day but it conveniently passes ours at 7.30pm. We get a taxi back, there's usually some parked up on the main street . Pueblo Bravo runs right the way down Av. del Mar. At the bottom there are a few places to eat and drink, a small supermarket and a charity shop. We haven't really ventured down that way yet, only passed in the car to get onto Lemon Tree Rd. There's quite a bit of building work going on down there and I heard a rumour they're building a new Consum. As for the middle part of Pueblo Bravo, I don't think there's much in the way of amenities but I'm guessing it would be a 15 minute walk to the bottom and maybe 20/25 minutes to Dona Pepa. We're still finding our feet here but we love it. Hope this helps.

you will love Pueblo Bravo, it is not too far from Doña Pepa, good for med centre and pharmacia, more going up there all the time and rumour has it!!!! that due to the new aparthotel going up, which just happens to be linked to La Laguna (Quesada family) they are going to put a pavement along the Lemon Tree Road to link the two hotels...we are waiting to see but you never know.

That's the first I've heard of it being owned by La Laguna family and of the pavement. However if the safe pavement walk through is true, then that would be wonderful. It would regenerate both areas as at the moment it is taking your life in your hands to walk along the main road linking the two.

Time will tell if it's just another rumour..like the Consum but we'll see.

Jan

If you look on Google Maps they're already marked up on there as Apartamentos La Laguna and listed against the Hotel website . .

Thanks.

Certainly sounds promising as if anyone could get this pavement walk through made it could be the Laguna hopefully. For years different ideas have been put forward. The bars/commercial's at either side at one time were trying to get the farmer to allow them to pay for a pavement through. It would have only taken a tiny bit of his land at the side by the road but nothing came of it. With Laguna on board maybe the farmer will agree this time.

Mike, the bus reaches to top of Ave del Mar at around 7.30pm and goes to the arches. I think it only runs a couple of times a day but I've no idea what the other times are or what the route is.
