Noisy airplanes

who are these idiots that fly around Quesada and surrounding areas with their noisy droning aircraft and why can’t they fly over the sea where they won’t disturb anyone?

Those noisy idiots are Spanish Airforce Pilots training to defend Spanish residents like you.

Still doesn’t answer why they can’t fly over water.

Because they have to learn the terrain that they may have to defend as air battles are not fought over sea

I have often remarked how quiet the Quesada area is. Very rarely is there any commercial aircraft flying overhead and if they do, they are so far up that they are a silent streak in the sky.

These air force planes don't appear to fly across very often either. They may be a bit noisier when they do but living mainly in the UK with the hundreds of aurcraft crossing our skies above every day, Quesada is so peaceful. Most days you could hear a pin drop on our roof terrace.I don't mind the odd airforce plane or two flying across as its quite interesting to see and hear them.

I too have wondered why it is necessary for these aircraft to fly round and round, wing tip to wing tip for many hours each week over a residential area. It's got nothing to do with testing the terrain these pilots are practising formation flying. If they happened to touch wings and collide the consequences could be disastrous. I agree with bonjovy some days they are a bloody nuisance.

I think it's best left to the Spanish Air Force to come up with it's training requirements and it's reasons.

I have heard this story before about them being Spanish Air Force pilots practicing their flying but I doubt that they are.
Air Force pilots would practice in the planes that they have to fly in their normal duty.
