Can anybody tell me anything bad about pellet burners? Everybody seems to think they are really good just wondered if there are any drawbacks? Also could you recommend installers? TIA.

Hi Jenny...I have a new pellet burner...installed early December...at first (four days) it was wonderful...however it has been nothing but trouble...it will not run for more than two to three hours. I have had several engineers (well thats what they call themselves) come round and they all do the same thing and yes ...x hours later the bloody thing switches itself off ..."alarm no fire" is the reason. Just today the wife has kicked up an almighty stink at the original supplier and they have promised to sort the bloody thing out. As I write this she has just walked back into the house and after 2 hours it has switched itself off again. Air con now on to heat the house...Am waiting the next stage in this shambles.

I will let the forum know the outcome...however I must say that when it works it works well. Hopefully we just have a dud....watch this space.

I think I would be getting these so called engineers round and burning their pellets with a hot iron, see if that will buck them up

Hobnob, Google problems with pellet burners, they display a range of causes to pellet burners that range from damaged airseals, through to poor quality pellets, hopefully you can sort your problem through their advice.

Just had to mention----Bought our wood burner from supplier in Quesada and installed just before Xmas and
the whole job was fantastic and now whole house is very warm, much better than an open fire
and more effiecent at burning, using less wood than before. Brilliant...........

We have had a pellet burner installed by Andreas Reichenbach @ Enersol in Los Montesinos over a year ago now. Superb quality installation, superb quality stove, top quality pellets is the way to go. The house is so warm as Andreas advises on the CPU output required.
