Cinders clothes agency, Algorfa

My wife and I went into The Mail Centre in Algorfa yesterday and she noticed clothing and accessories at the rear of the shop - what can I say, she's a woman! Anyway, turns out it's a clothes agency, where you take in your unwanted, good condition clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery, accessories, etc. The agency sells them and splits the proceeds with you 50:50. If anything you leave is unsold after 8 weeks, you have the option to collect it or ask the agency to donate it to charity.

For any other long suffering husbands out there, fighting for more wardrobe space, I'd recommend passing the details to the Oracle in your life:

Cinders Dress Agency, rear of The Mail Centre, Avenida Maria del Mar Rodriguez 41, Algorfa. Mob: 627 19 13 13. Open Monday to Friday, 09.30 to 14.00.

I've just got to stop her buying anything else now...... :D

Thanks Paulr, that’s useful to know. Not everyone gives all their old clothes for charity.

Of course, most people are glad to part with their old clothes and hand them into a charity shop but sometimes when we have made an error of judgement and bought an item that we should never have bought then it is difficult to give it away. We always image that it will look better if some weight is lost or perhaps a suntan will make it look as good as it did on the day of purchase but in truth, it never happens and if you could take it to a shop and split the proceeds, then I think this is a great idea. Thank you for telling us. I hope the shop does well. The other side of the coin is that my loss could be someone else’s gain! Beautiful clothes at bargain basement prices! I bet there will be lots of ladies going into Algofar soon.
