It's Securitas Direct. Maintance guy came out & checked the system, all in working order, was at my house about an hour checking everything, but couldn't come up with a reason why it didn't go off.. Had more scenors & camera fitted.

Hi Saffron,
That is not good to hear i am with that company and they are supposed to be the best, is it possible that the burglars knew where sensors were so avoided them as you mentioned installing more?
They actually have an anti jamming system on their system so it really is worrying that they got passed all that security.

Regards

Have asked those questions, awaiting reply. That is worrying if there is an anti jamming system. You do everything to secure your property & the scumbags still get in..

Securitas are so not the best. Crac have a great service - they phone every time the alarm goes off (usually our mistake) and one night whilst I was on my own the engineer who came actually checked the whole house for me before he left.

How much is their system? I would certainly change if the person broken into. Does not get a full explanation to why his alarm never went off. We are informed every time ours goes off on entry to the property without fail. I have it set to be cancelled within 1 minute if it does not get cancelled they are on the phone I would hate to think I am paying 44 Euro a month for nothing.

Yes security's use an anti jamming interceptor so burglars cannot jam the alarm signal which relies on mobile network to transmit an alert. Burglars have a system to jam the signal but I was assured by securitas that burglars cannot jam their system .

Can I also suggest that you improve the security of your home. What was the point of entry by the burglars ? Was it a window or door and can this be strengthened ? Do you have grills on your windows and do your external doors have more than one latch going into the post ?
If you have patio doors you can buy a lock with a pin that pushes through both doors to make it more difficult to slide one open.
