Neighbourhood Watch - armed robbery

Neighbourhood Watch - armed robbery

Postby benji » Tue Sep 19, 2017 9:16 pm

From Pat Philllips - Neighbourhood Watch

Thanks to Helen for telling us about this very disturbing incident..

"This evening in Pueblo Bravo at about 19.00 three men charged into a neighbour's house and attacked the two occupants. One of the owners was thrown to the ground and suffered a severe gash to his head. One of the attackers had what looked like a gun. The other owner offered resistance and the attackers finally scrambled over the wall into the Avenue and made their escape. The police and forensics have attended the scene.
The attackers looked Moroccan but no further description is available.
Please ensure that your gates and doors are locked securely and warn your friends and neighbours to be vigilant.
Stay safe
Helen "

Is it true? Somehow - I doubt it. There seems to be a lot of stories of muggings and then this story around the area. It will be interesting to see if the local papers pick up on it.

If you're a member of The Rojales Neighborhood Watch page on Facebook this is where it was published - I doubt very much people go to these lengths to report 'Fake News' - I agree it is a rather unusual incident but I can't say I've seen any 'fake reportings around'

Hi,
I've just seen this post on "Costa Blanca Chat".

"URGENT
IF YOU ARE IN THE DONA PEPE AREA QUESADA PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE REPORT JUST SENT TO ME BELOW AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF AT ALL. WORRIED CALL THE POLICE
Hi, sorry to be the bearer of horrible news but I've just driven past Vida sunset lounge in dona pepa and saw by the roundabout an old couple looking lost, I was driving alone so tentatively pulled up alongside them and the man said he had just been pushed into the central DEEP reservation and his wife's bag stolen off her shoulder by 2 young boys.He was bleeding so i sent them over to the bar to phone for the police as I had to protect myself too incase the lads were about. I then drove up into my road behind Patagonian steak house and 5 Germans were stood looking shaken, I wound down my window just to let them know be careful and again the men had been beaten up and 1 woman's bag stolen. I'm so frightened as we live so close to all this. I'm home with my partner now but maybe announce on the site for all people walking back to their homes tonight to get a cab x"

Do you still think this is fake news Drama Queen??????

Sad very sad, I have no doubt in my mind that this is happening I am a coordinator for a few years in my area and We have a monthly report and things are rife and happens all the time. Don't want to scare people but we all need to be vigilant and look out for each other.

Take care. Pete.

I don't doubt these incidents , but none of them really compare to the OP where people claim to have been attacked in their own home.
Unusual
Not your normal bag snatch and worth the comments that transpired.
