come on, be honest. How many of you look at the exchange rate, euro vs pound, on Bloomberg(or other) at least twice a day? I know I do

Our friend got 1.3in Benidorm yesterday. He said it was the highest for years.

Your friend probably got a rate of 1.13 not 1.30

Usually a cent more in Benidorm as they seem to have exchange shops on every corner. I doubt 1.3, though. And definitely, if 1.13, not the highest in years. It would be if it were the beginning of June 2016 when it was 1.30 tourist exchange.

I got 1.14 (online) a couple of weeks ago. I do check the rate daily but I have an alert set up on currencyfair. I get an email if the rate hits my designated target (which is presently set to 1.14). You can also receive daily emails with the current rate but as it changes so much, it's of limited use.

Beer vs euro is the only one that matters.
