FIFA's Poppy Ban

How dare the corrupt organisation that is FIFA decree that two British teams be banned from wearing a poppy on their team strips because it is a political gesture.
It patently is not political but a symbol of remembrance of the ultimate sacrifice made by those killed defending our freedom. The SFA/FA should stick two fingers up to FIFA and ignore the ban.

The FA have now made a statement saying the England team will be wearing poppies in their black armbands on Armistice day.

An armband is not a shirt and the FIFA rules talk of political, religious statements on shirts so that OK.

FIFA need to get their own house in order before they come out with stupid and insulting edicts like this based on their misinterpretation of the significance of wearing the poppy.

Whether the poppy is on an armband or shirt should be left to SFA/FA not handed down as a grudging favour from a disreputable and corrupt shower.

I think that both sets of fans should calmly walk from the stands onto the pitch facing towards the stands whilst holding a poppy in one hand whilst giving the Churchill salute with the other for 15 mins.

Might be a bit dangerous if one of these Churchillian salutes is aimed in the wrong directions-you know what these English hooligans are like.
