Gas bottle storage

Gas bottle storage

Postby ajf1950 » Sun May 14, 2017 5:56 pm

I have gas bottles for my BBQ. Can anyone help with suggestions where I can buy an outside storage box as I do not want to keep them in the underbuild for safety reasons. Thanks.

An aluminium fabrication company should be able to make one for you.

Yes, try securidan in rojales ,( its behind aqua-car rental showroom , a small ind.area ) opposite
the entrance to Marquesa golf course .he does fabrications but maybe only in ferrous metals, in
which case there is aluminium fabrication works next door, but i can't recall the name. good luck

Thanks Vic & Angie
Much appreciated. My only concern about putting them in a cupboard outdoors is will they be affected by the build up of heat ? But I notice they are stored outside the Gama in Dona Pepe so I guess it is safe. Any comments will be appreciated. Cheers.

they store the gas bottles in a cage, so the heat should not be a problem, however if you are getting a metal storage unit built, why not ask them to install air vents on all sides to allow for airflow and to help keep the temperature down.

Here's a couple of photos of my storage cupboard:

I don't know where it was made or how much it cost I'm afraid, it was all included in some other works.
This is located on the east side of the house, in an area that gets almost no direct sun. As someone else said, you could have vents installed if you were worried about the build-up of heat.

Roughly what dimensions is your cupboard Pete? Just trying to decide where to site one. Thanks
